He is survived by: his parents, John R. Mitchell and Nellie B. Mitchell (Richmond) of Canastota; his daughters, Erin (Robert Belvick) and Carrie (Brenden Kirkpatrick); his grandchildren, Jonathan J. Belvick, Benjamin K. and Francesca C. Kirkpatrick; his brother Timothy J. Mitchell of Canastota; his former wife Nancy Mitchell of Canastota; his mother-in-law Frances Burke of Canastota; his uncle Otto; and his aunt Diane Mitchell of Oneida. He is also survived by several cousins; and other in-laws.
