He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Cortes and Juana Albarran. He is survived by: his wife Joyce I. Hart; his children, Robert Musacchio, David (Felicia Musacchio), Michael (Thelma Musacchio), Hector Cortes, Jr. of Chittenango, Jose (Bonnie Cortes), James Cortes of Durhamville and Teresa Cortes of Canastota; and his siblings, Wilson Cortes of Morrisville, William Cortes of Rome, Jesus Domena of Jewel, Blanca "Margarita" Morris of Jacksonville, FL and Clara (Ricardo Finney).
