She was predeceased by: her daughter Bonnie M. Berry; her grandson Michael Henry DeGroat; and her siblings, Leota Tooke, Juanita Perry and Paul Palmer.

She is survived by: her husband LaVerne C. DeGroat (Barney); her parents, Lee Palmer and Helen Light Palmer; and her children, Shawn DeGroat of Canastota, Connie DeGroat of Canastota, Timothy DeGroat of Canastota, Tena DeGroat of Canastota, Linda Widger of Canastota and Fred Widger of Canastota.
