With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernice R. Compson (Canastota, New York), born in Syracuse, New York, who passed away on January 19, 2022 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Wescott and Alice Wescott (Scoville); her spouse Francis D. Compson; and her sister Betty Maloof. She is survived by: her daughters, Debra (Thomas Fox, Jr.) and Denise (Martin Hernandez); and her siblings, Richard Wescott of Jordan and Marylou Carpenter of Lakeport. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In her memory, contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY 13413, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
