He was predeceased by: his brother Darin Scherer; his cousins, Jennifer Simpson, Kelly Spriull and Annalise Johnson; and his grandparents, Wilton, Kathrine Wickes, Marjorie and Robert Scherer.
He is survived by: his children, Brian and Shannon Scherer; his parents, Linda Scherer and Bruce Scherer; his sister-in-law Christine Scherer; and his nephew Cory Scherer.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Seneca Yacht Club Junior Sailing Program or the Wounded Warrior Project.
