She was predeceased by: her husband Richard W. Appel; her siblings, Glenn H. Lindquist, Jr. and Marcia Keehn; her siblings-in-law, Silas Keehn and Dorothy Acquaviva; and her parents, Glenn H. Lindquist and Ada Lindquist (Mumford).
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey W. Appel (Holly Martyn) and Amy Mitchell (Scott); her grandchildren, Seamus W., Alana D. Appel, Jeffrey Mitchell (Cydney) and Christopher Mitchell; and her great grandchildren, Lucy and Charlotte Mitchell. She is also survived by eight nieces and nephews.
