He was predeceased by: his wife Anne Galbraith (Steele); his son Angus Galbraith; his brother Robert L. Galbraith; and his parents, Robert Galbraith and Elizabeth Galbraith (Hallett).
He is survived by: his children, Robert Galbraith, Betsy Karpinski (Bob), Kristin Selby (Tim), Andrew Galbraith (Lucy), Katie Day (Chris), Emily Kehoe (Tom), Robin Govanlu (Steve) and Claire Bopp (Ryan); his grandchildren, Julia Kustas (Mike), Pat Karpinski (Carley), Pamela Galbraith, Jessie, Brendan Selby, Sadie, Reza Govanlu, Birdie Day, Teagan Kehoe, Marion and Josephine Bopp; his great grandchildren, Dean and Theo Kustas; and his sister Ginny Brooks (Don).
