He was predeceased by: his former wife Ruth Harmon (Aaness); his siblings, Mary Horstick and Thomas Harmon; his granddaughter Victoria Louise Phillips; and his parents, Dr. John Millard Harmon, Sr. and Esther Harmon (Kettelkamp).
He is survived by: his children, Roger Harmon, Mary Howe (Will), Ann Phillips (Chuck), Kirk Harmon (Chris) and Janet Burgwardt (Frederick); his grandchildren, Rebecca, John Isaac (Teja), Charles, Sarah Ruth, Michael, Beth (Owen), Luke (Kari), Sarah Alice, Paul, Frederick (Cece), Beatrice, Olivia and Robin; his great grandchildren, Veera, Abby, Silas, Evie, Hayden, Cooper, Judah, Julia and Aino; and his son John Millard Harmon III (Carol).
