He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Youngs and Leonard Stoddard; and his stepmother Mary Stoddard. He is survived by: his wife Shirley (Schutt); his children, Patricia Burke (Christopher) of Phelps, Denise Hood (Frank Mueller), Jodie Lasky (Dann Messervey Jr) and Jeffrey of Canandaigua; his grandchildren, Brittany Rayburn (Kyle), Maxwell Burke (Ada), Garrett Burke (Brittany), Juniper Lasky, James Lasky, Eve Hood, Eli Hood, Brittany Kleiman and Nathan Hood; his siblings, David Stoddard (Jeanne) of Colorado, Phillip Brizzee (Barbara) of Florida, Rick Stoddard (Lori) of Phelps, Jack Stoddard (Sharon) of Phelps, Barbara Buxton (Ronald) of Colorado and Gail Travis of Corning; and his sons-in-law, Joe Lasky and William Hood Jr.. He is also survived by friends, as well as extended family and other "adopted" family members.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ontario-Yates Hospice, Sands Cancer Center, Chapin United Methodist Church, any of John's other beloved organizations, or to a charity of your choosing.
