He is survived by: his wife Lynn; his children, Kim Johnsen (John), James Jr. (Deborah) and Brian Walsh (Kathy); his grandchildren, James Walsh (Sarah), Alysa Johnsen (Michael), Avery Walsh, Ben Walsh (Tori), Sam Johnsen, Sydney Johnsen, Brian Penny (Jennifer) and Bridget Green (Nick); his great grandchildren, Remington Walsh, Cole Walsh, Nate, Austin, Emma Penny, Brooklynn and Mason Green; his siblings, Tom (Betty), Margaret Outhouse, Mary Van Epps, Nancy Allen (Malcolm), Liz Rider (Paul), Pat (Roz), Ed (Kathy), Karen Lamouria (Mike) and Cheryl Squires; and his close friend Archie.
