James W. Baird Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James W. Baird of Canandaigua, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 19, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint James leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his uncle Isaac Kerr (Gladys); his aunt Alice Deedee (John); and his parents, Thomas Baird and Nellie Baird (Kerr). He is survived by: his wife Donna Baird (Nielsen); his children, Kerry Smartt (Vincent) of Canandaigua and Dr. Kevin C. Baird (Jennifer Cornish) of Berkeley, CA; his granddaughter Morgan Baird of Berkeley, CA; and his cousin Joyce Moffitt (Gene) of Rochester.
