He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Bement (Cooley); his siblings, Charles Bement, Beverly Kerske, John "Hap" Bement and Helen Doran; and his parents, Harry Bement and Mary Bement (Dimbiski).
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Sehm, James E. Bement (Pamela), Joel Bement (Gina), Jack Bement (Darla), Mary Casella (Robert), Diane Ludwig (Brian), Dennis Bement (Vicki), Melissa Belding (Rodney) and Steven Bement (Krista); and his siblings, Mary Johnston (Howard) and Thomas Bement. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren.
