He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Avery; his daughter Amber Avery; and his parents, Hiram J. Avery and Ida Leona Avery (Sperry). He is survived by: his sons, Charles E. Avery and Matthew T. Avery; and his granddaughters, Nicole, Carly, Kathryn, Julia and Haley. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
