He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ann Murphy (Worboys); and his parents, William Murphy and Julia Murphy (Hernandes). He is survived by: his children, Cristine, William (Jennifer) and Matthew (Jamie); his grandchildren, Nealcha, Durinda, Ashlee, Ryan, Grace and Alexis; his great grandchildren, Bentley and Elliana; his brother Edward; and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Worboys, Jean Corino (James), Amy Worboys, Terry Worboys (Cindy), William Worboys (Dee), Ken Worboys and Sheldon Coon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Frederick's memory can be made to the House of John in Clifton Springs.
