She was predeceased by: her husband Barry Dubitsky; and her siblings, Judith Herring and James William Bennett. She is survived by: her daughter Jilaine Burley (Edward); her granddaughter Abigail Burley; and her sisters, Elizabeth Taylor, Rebecca Myers and Theresa Passalacqua (Michael). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was contemplating a Master's degree program when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease at 67.
