She was predeceased by: her parents, Asa Hoffman and Ruth Hoffman; her husband Gordon L. Johnson Sr.; and her children, Brenda, Rodney and James.

She is survived by: her children, Gordon L. Jr. (Donna), Deborah (Donald), Charlene (Edward) and Yvonne; her stepdaughter Mickey; her great-niece Beulah; and her pet Louie. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
