He was predeceased by: his wife Sherry Wolfanger; his parents, Asenath Engerlert and Alvin Wolfanger (Ruth Barnhart); and his grandparents, William Aikey and Imogene Aikey.

He is survived by: his children, Jodie Bridgeman (James Bridgeman), William Cooper (Denise Daniels), Alvin Wolfanger Jr. Grandchilden, Timothy Kessler, Desaree Boman, Dustin Cooper, Anthony Cooper, Autum Drock, Hunter Barnhart and Aiden Wolfanger; and his sisters, Ann Dunton, Arlene Yarina and Gene May Wolfanger.
