He was predeceased by: his parents, John Toomey and Mary Toomey; and his son-in-law Eric Bowerman. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Schmidt Toomey; his children, Karen (Tony Sylvester), John J. (Cheryl Toomey) and Kathleen Bowerman; his grandchildren, AJ Sylvester, Joe Toomey, Charlotte Sylvester, Morgan Trahan (Gordon Trahan), Nicholas Toomey and Madison Koelbl; and his siblings, Joan Chadwick and Philip Toomey. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
