He was predeceased by: his parent Joseph Hanson; his son James B. Hanson; and his brothers, Joseph W., Thomas F. and John J. Hanson.
He is survived by: his parent Mary Grace Allinger Hanson; his wife Judith Hatch Hanson; his children, Kenneth Hanson (Brenda) and Elizabeth Keefner (Jeffrey) of Canaan; his daughter-in-law Natalie Hanson of Canaan; his sister Margaret Van Dusen French, Sr.; his sister-in-law Regina Hanson; and his grandchildren, Daniel, Allison Hanson, Emily Falkner (Elijah), Sarah Keefner, Morgan Hanson (Shane Powell), Garrett and Christopher Hanson.
