Ronnie Dean Stephens Obituary

Ronnie D. Stephens age 44, of Campbell, died Sunday, August 7, 2005 at the Arnot Odgen Medical Center in Elmira. He was born in Urbana, NY on May 21, 1961, to son of Claude Stephens and Gladys (Chapin) Stephens. Ronnie started work for the Village of Painted Post in 1980 mowing, and has worked his way up to Water Department Operator in the past 25 years.

He took great pride in his work with the Village, and loved the other Village employees as his family. He was the President of the Back Country 4 Wheelers 4 X 4 Truck Club with many close friends and known for his legendarytruck "Black Bear". Heloved to travel on his Harley Road King Classic all over the country. Ronnie was a member of the Corning Harley Owners Group, loved camping, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Ronnie is survived by his wife Cheryl; father, Claude Stephens; his mother, Gladys Stephens; three daughters, Jessica Stephens of Corning, Amanda Stephens of Corning, and Andrea Stephens of Campbell; Granddaughter, Faith Wolcott of Corning; two sisters, Audrey Scanlon of Virginia Beach, VA, Lauri (Mike) Hammer of Campbell; one brother, LeRoy (Kim) Koser of Savona; nieces and nephews, Tisha, Jason, Melissa, Nicholas, Zachary, Lindsey, and Cassie; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and many friends.

Ronnie was predeceased by a brother Chester Stephens. Calling hours will be on Friday August 12, 2005 from 3 until 7 PM at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney Street in Corning where Funeral Services will be on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Coopers Plains Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will follow services at Stillwater Acres, 6621 County Route 17 in Bradford.
