He is survived by: his parents, Joseph Leroy Carlin and Marie Estelle Buckley; his wife Arthura; and his daughters-in-law, Richard Carlin, Susan Carlin of Cypress, Craig Carlin and Valerie Carlin of Campbell. He is also survived by three grandchildren, one great-grandson, two sisters, one brother, and several nieces and nephews.
