He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert H. Canniff and Ann Taylor Canniff; his brother Bob; his sister-in-law Peg Canniff of Campbell Hall, NY; his brother Harry; his sister-in-law Patty Canniff of Cortlandt Manor, NY; his sister Laura McMullen of Seminole, Florida; his nephews, Mike Canniff (Lauren) and Tim Canniff (Lisa); his niece Lynne Canniff; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Tim, Ava, Luke Canniff and Alexis Taylor; and his nephew John Berninger.
