He was predeceased by: his parent Andrew Plavka; and his sister Margaret Plavka Dembek. He is survived by: his parent Anna Plavka; his nieces, Susan Dembek (Ted DeMuth) of Campbell Hall, N. Y. and Lynda Dembek of Houston; and his nephew Anthony Dembek Jr.
