She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie Graf and Simon Graf; her siblings, Leonard Graf, Arlene Graf and Margie Palka; and her close friend Martin Schlecht.
She is survived by: her husband Lt. William J. Rand; her children, William (Kathy) of Roanoke, VA, Scott (Merrilyne Hendrickson) of Annapolis, MD, Barbara Ruel (Ronald) of Port St, Christopher (Lisa) of Poughkeepsie, NY, Kurt (Amy) of Tampa, FL and Karl (Connie) of San Diego, CA; and her grandchildren, Tabitha Rand, William Rand IV, Remington Rand, Jackson Rand, Jillian Rand, Katherine Ruel Riess, Allison Ruel Hoffman, Alexis Rand, Mitchell Rand, Lawrence Rand and Vivian Rand. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
