He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman and Mary; and his sister Connie Smith. He is survived by: his wife Terry; his daughters, Christy and Marisa Monti; and his siblings, Richard, Thomas (Nancy) and Barbara Rounds (Paul). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
