We are sad to announce that on April 29, 2023, at the age of 89, Joseph T. Thornton MD of Camillus, New York, born in Syracuse, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Joseph Thornton and Marian Thornton; his sons, Joseph Jr. and Mark; and his siblings, James, William, Robert and Mary Ellen.
He is survived by: his wife Joan McCullough; his children, Dr. Joan Thornton of Marietta, Patricia Burnham of Syracuse, Michael of Syracuse, Thomas of Syracuse and Susan Alberts (John) of Marietta; his grandchildren, Steven (Kate), Michael (Jenn), Kevin, Joseph (Lauren), Meghan (Mackenzie), Katherine, James and Mark; and his great grandchildren, Alphia, Odette, Damian and Julianna. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
