He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. John and Gilda; and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his sons, Richard (Kim Jakway) of Geddes and John A. (Margaret) of Acworth, GA; his grandsons, Jonathan and Timothy; his great grandchildren, Katherine and Cassandra; and his sisters, Nina McElwee (James) of North Carolina and Mary Gregory (Donald) of Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Buranich Funeral Home (5431 W Genesee St, Camillus, NY 13031). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Family Church (127 Chapel Dr, Syracuse, NY 13219). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery (4069 Howlett Hill Rd, Syracuse, NY 13215).
