He was predeceased by: his siblings, Donald and Lucena Ackerman; and his son-in-law John Grobsmith. He is survived by: his wife Helen Dinges; his children, Susan Grobsmith of Elbridge and Jim Stannard (Cynthia) of Durham, CT; his grandchildren, Debi, Rick, Lauri, Kathi and Jacki; and his great grandchildren, Amanda, Colin, Leah, Evan, Jack, Mary Kate, Adrian and Julianne.
