She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Oczkowski and Stephanie Oczkowski; her husband Stanley J. Handzel; her son Michael S. Handzel, Sr.; and her siblings, Jane Guglielmo, Edward and Walter Oczkowski.

She is survived by: her children, Lynne Werner (Richard), Robert (Donna), Mark (Janet), Thomas (Endang), Susan Ecker (Bruce), Nancy and Caren Albertina (Walt); her daughter-in-law Linda J. Handzel; her grandchildren, Jen, Rob, Alex, Thomas, Sarah, Stephanie, Michael, Ben, Joseph, Jane, Gretchen and Derek; and her siblings, Virginia Oczkowski of Utica and Joseph Oczkowski of Deerfield. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
