He is survived by: his children, Michelle Buffa, Dawn Vanhorn (Scott) and Joseph Buffa (Jaimie); his grandchildren, Abagail, Sophia, Franchesca, Santino Vanhorn and Taylor Buffa; and his siblings, Marie Schwanke and Salvatore Buffa. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
