He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Smith and Lois Smith (Bradford); his wife Bertha Ann Smith; his siblings, Charles Smith Sr. and Mary Gardner; his children, Normie Smith and David Uber; and his nephew Charles Smith, Jr. (Robert).
He is survived by: his brother Norman Smith; his niece Rosemary Barnes; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Stacey Dibble (Lawrence), Melissa Smith (Matthew), Amanda Smith, Mark Gardner (Carol), Nickie Clark (David Sr.), Tim Gardner, Lisa Gardner and John Gardner (Marianna); his brother-in-law Alfred Gardner; his half-sister Elaine Collins; and also, Tina Taft (Harland), Becky Webster and David Webster.
