He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Mahle and Vernetta Osborne Mahle; his wife Jackie; his siblings, Daniel Mahle and Estella Harvey; and his stepson Carey Pereria.

He is survived by: his children, Paul Mahle, Robert (Lisa Mahle), Bernard (Janice Mahle), Kim (Loretta Mahle), Diane (Robert Wiediger), Patricia (Stephen Dupont), Douglas (Marjorie Mahle), Karen (Matthew McCargar), Rebecca Golden and Scott Mahle; and his stepson Ted Pereria. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
