He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul R. Berg and Ella R. Jenkins Berg; and his brother Paul J. Berg. He is survived by: his sisters, Peggy Mae Botteicher (Thomas) of Callaway, VA and Mary E. Kelly (Ronald). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and friends.
