He is survived by: his children, Richard (Rick), Bonnie McGuire Jones (Kent) and David McGuire (Katherine); his grandchildren, Wendy Coats (Dan), Richard McGuire (Mick), Dylan Jones (Erin), Caitlin McLane (Josh), Ellie McGuire and Cooper McGuire; and his great grandchildren, Hermione Coats, Marisa McGuire, Richard McGuire IV (Trainor), William Jones, Rhys Jones, Logan McLane and Parker McLane.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the McClellan-Gariepy Funeral Home (19 E Broadway, Salem, NY 12865). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hebron United Presbyterian Church (3153 County Rte 30, Salem, NY 12865).
