He was predeceased by: his parent Albert Ehrenfreund; his siblings, Evelyn Smith and Herbert Ehrenfreund; his nephews, Brian Betchelder and Charles Tiedemann; his niece Brenda Barnak; and his sisters-in-law, Eleanor Betts and Midge Ehrenfreund.
He is survived by: his parent Ruth Ehrenfreund (Palmer); his wife Elizabeth "Betsy" Ehrenfreund (Tiedemann); his children, Susan Congdon of Bennington, Dian Ehrenfreund of Cambridge, Nancy Dwyer (William) of Forest, VA and Erich Ehrenfreund of Cambridge, NY.; and his grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, Amelia Wistuk, Dennett (Kate), Jesse, Scott Dwyer (Amani) and Justin Ehrenfreund. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
