It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel Ray Washington of Cambria Heights, New York, who passed away on March 29, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Esther Smith and Elliot Smith; her children, Nancy Davis, Fred Jr. of Washington, Doris Burden, Leslie of Washington and James of Washington; and her sister Icelean Hicks.

She is survived by: her children, Reuben Loyce Utley, Helen Wilson of Georgia and Arlene of Massachusetts; her sister Ernestine Riddick of Virginia; and her brothers-in-law, Hosie of Florida, James and Lorenzo of Ohio. She is also survived by Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Godchildren, Cousins.
