We are sad to announce that on May 19, 2023, at the age of 96, Madeline C. Wissemann of Calverton, New York, born in Brooklyn, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Frederick J. Wissemann; her parents, Matthew E. Haller and Madeline C. Schumm; and her siblings, Catherine Oftring (late Francis), Ann Kroenert (late Robert), Matthew Haller (late Irma), Claire Menke (late Edward) and Francis Haller (Grace).
She is survived by: her children, Frederick (Karen), William (Barbara), Susan Kahn (late Jeffrey), Maribeth Cigna, Monica O'Kane (Michael) and Matthew (late Veronica); and her grandchildren, Elizabeth Conlon (Jeremy), Genevieve Costigan, Regina Cigna, Lauren Eschborn (Alex), Angelo Christopher Cigna, Katrina Lavin (James), Hilary McSherry (Colin), Alex O'Kane (Casey), Ryan O'Kane and Peter Wissemann. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the ALS Association or Disabled American Veterans would be greatly appreciated.
