Joel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Byrnes Kurtz and Gwendolyn Bless Kurtz; and his sister Elaine Emmett. He is survived by: his wife Linda B. Utter Kurtz; his children, Darlene Gattus (Pete) of Cochecton and Kristofer Kurtz (Elizabeth) of Hortonville, NY; and his grandchildren, Sonya Gattus and Robert Kurtz. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
