He was predeceased by: his close friend Jessie Clark; his brother John Spencer; and his brothers-in-law, John Rundell, Tom Rundell and Ron Rundell, Sr..

He is survived by: his children, Steve Spencer (Sue), Sue Gray (Roger) and Robin Spencer; his grandchildren, Steve, Andy, Tom and Molly; his great grandchildren, Bradley, Ellery, Mya and Kensi; the mother of his children Joyce Clark; and also, Guy Clark (Pat), Rhett Clark (Lisa) and Lori Clark-Hannan (Bob). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
