He was loved and cherished by many people including: his former wife Grace Hubbard; his wife Diane Buckley; his children, Douglas Layland (Kelly) and Amy Fitzsimmons (Joel); his grandchildren, Anna, Owen Fitzsimmons, Jack, Maxwell, Molly and Tessa Layland; his sister Diane Brewster; his stepdaughters, Linda Harris, Karen Rowland (Kevin) and Susan Wickum (Dave); his parents, Lucy Layland and Carl Layland; his sister Barb; and his son James Jr..
