He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Donaghue and Ruth Donaghue (Duff); his wife Hazel (Simons); his siblings, Eugene (May), Mary Brooks (Paul), Rita Ottman and Betty Nobles (Chuck); and his siblings-in-law, Pat Donaghue and Eddie Brown.

He is survived by: his siblings, Edward Donaghue and Bernice Brown; his children, Michael Donaghue (Gail), Larry Donaghue, Alan Donaghue (Ada) and Cynthia LaPorte (Jim); and his grandchildren, Amy, Matt, David (Kada), Kevin (Lisa), Carolann (Luke), Julie (Chris), Tim (Tara) and Michael (Chelsea). He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews; stepchildren and great step-grandchildren.
