She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidney Sr. Cheney and Edna Cheney (Daby); her husband Warren King (Anthony J. Alteri); her daughter Debra Jane Ligammari; her grandchildren, Shawn and Thomas Ligammari Jr.; and her sister-in-law Betty Cheney.
She is survived by: her daughter Valerie C. Gehring (Mark) of Calcium; her stepson Mark J. Alteri (Karyn) of Arizona; her son-in-law Thomas G. Ligammari of Rutland; her siblings, Constance Francis of Potsdam, Justice Cheney (Carla) of Utica and Sidney Cheney, Jr. (Joan) of Brasher Falls; and her grandchildren, Melissa Jane Ligammari of Castorland, Melinda A. Rosner (Sam) of Murfreesboro, TN, Thomas P. Ligammari of Watertown and Tiffany Alteri Brown (Donnie) of Arizona. She is also survived by two step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and several furry "grandkids"; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jefferson County SPCA, 25056 Water Street, Watertown, NY 13601, in honor of Jane's love for animals.
