He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hightower and Mary Lois Hightower (Gray); and his siblings, Michael, Bobby, Johnny Will Hightower and Lois Hightower.

He is survived by: his wife Dawn L. Rozie; his children, Denise Stephens and Dion Hightower; and his brothers, Claude, Jerry and Billy. He is also survived by one aunt, one uncle, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
