Patrice Amatulli Obituary

Patrice Amatulli was born in Huntington, New York on September 1, 1959. She was raised in the nearby village of Greenlawn and attended Harborfields Public School District. She was the beloved daughter of
Charles and Rosemary Griffiths and the youngest of their three children. She is survived by her son Matthew Amatulli, sister Maureen Spanos, and longtime companion Gene Malmskog. Patrice worked as a mental health therapist aide in the New York State Mental Health hospitals, Kings Park and Pilgrim State, until her retirement in 2018 and continued her lifelong commitment to caring for others by working as an elder care companion. While she grew up and raised her son on Long Island, Patrice enjoyed camping in the Purling area for many years and relocated to her home in East Durham two years before her death. She felt blessed to be able to count her many new acquaintances as friends. Patrice was one of the rare people about whom it can be truly said that she never met a person she didn't like. Her open, loving attitude towards others was invariably reciprocated. Everyone who met Patrice loved her. She will be sorely missed.
