It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James H. Alverson of Cairo, New York, who passed away on September 10, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alverson and Dorothy Alverson (Nugent); his grandson Benjamin Overbaugh (Baby Ben); and his brother Danny Alverson. He is survived by: his wife Francine Alverson (O'Connell); his children, James Alverson Jr. (Marisa), Chris Burchell (Linh), Jeffrey Baldwin (Marrianne), Kerry Overbaugh (Billy), Stacey Nelson (David), John Alverson and Gina Perkowski (William); his grandchildren, Gregory, David, Colin Alverson, Teagan, Michael Burchell, Jordan, Tim Nelson, Samantha, Kevin Baldwin, Cameron (Yaira), Megara Overbaugh, Mitchell Kazanjian (Isabella), Keegan (Nate), Connell and Braeden Deyo; his great grandchildren, Jaxon LaFever, Rosalyn Kazanjian and Avianna Overbaugh; and his siblings, Barbara Alverson (Rodriguez), Buddy, Billy, Jack and Tommy Alverson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Richard's Funeral Home (29 Bross St, Cairo, NY 12413). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Richards Funeral Home - Cairo P. O. (29 Bross St, Cairo, NY 12413). The military honors was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 at the St. Patrick's Cemetery (37 N Jefferson Ave, Catskill, NY 12414).
