With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Fred J. Rich of Cairo, New York, born in Athens, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 1, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Rich and Lena Rich (Vendriesco); his former wife Ann; his brother Joseph; and his sister-in-law Connie.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rachel (Adam) and Leah (Jayson); his grandchildren, Schuyler, Sophia and Elijah; his niece Donna; and his nephew Kevin.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Fred's name to The Community Hospice of Columbia/Greene Counties, 47 Liberty Street, Catskill, N.Y., 12414.
