Sweeney of Burke, New York, born in Greenfield, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 30, 2024 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Sweeney and Thelma Sweeney (Campbell); and his sister Joanne Sweeney Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Burkewitz; and his children, Michael Sweeney, Heidi Bilodeau, Shawn, Shane, Richard J. Sweeney III, Kelly Moreland, Kevin Sweeney and Donna Davis. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
