The memory of Nancy D. Combs of Burdett, New York, who passed away on January 22, 2025 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Dean and Reva Landon Dean; her son James Dean "Jimmy" Combs; her husband Fay E. Combs; and her sisters, Dora Bush (William), Velma Teeter (Donald), Ruth Hammond (Merve) and Jane Simmons (Andrew).
She is survived by: her children, Julie Faye O'Brien (James), Valerie Jane Moore (Michael) and Raymond Martin Combs (Lisa); her grandchildren, Jessica Purpura (Gerlando), Stephanie Parente (John), Michelle Huber (Nicholas), Alicia Bubb (Cole), Krista Brunner (Eric), Lindsy Hyer (Patrick), Bradley Combs (Nadia), Matthew Combs (Brittany), Steven Combs (Sarah) and Deanne Houseknecht (David); and her great grandchildren, Salvatore, Michael, Sofia, Luca Purpura, Giovanni, Anthony Parente, Timothy, Everett, Julia Huber, Mason, Morgan Bubb, Evan, Collin Brunner, Raelynn, Patrick Hyer, Izza Combs, Valor, Eden Combs, Clive, Jude and Mabel Combs.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Montour Falls United Methodist Church (124 Owego St, Montour Falls, NY 14865). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jimmy Dean Combs Scholarship Fund at Watkins Glen Central School, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Reynoldsville United Methodist Church.
