He was predeceased by: his wife Marcella Ney. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Edele, Donna Lodge, Dawn Owen and John Ney Jr. (Marina); his niece Barbara Smith; and his nephew Joseph Feigenbaum. He is also survived by five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions, John's service with military honors will be held at a later date at Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira.
