She was predeceased by: her husband Donald "Peter" McBride; her great grandchild Sofia McBride; and her parents, Reynolds Matheny and Ruby Matheny. She is survived by: her children, Gillian Huling of Geneva, Donn McBride of Endicott, Alan McBride (Kathy) of Bear, DE, Kym Starkweather (Tim) of Odessa and Andrea Cherock (Peter) of Watkins Glen. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Joette was the director of the RSVP program with Cornell Cooperative Extension in Montour Falls for many years. Prior to her time with RSVP, she worked as a Milk Tester for Cornell.
